About two minutes, then fly.

  1. Get TelemFFB if you have not already; it is free: download it from GitHub. It comes as a zip - extract it wherever you want to keep it.
  2. Run the DirectLink installer you just downloaded.
  3. Turn DirectLink on. Start TelemFFB, open System → System Settings, and switch on DirectLink for TelemFFB under Integrations.
  4. Pick your device. On the Devices tab your DirectInput devices appear marked [DI]; choose one for the joystick, pedals, collective or trim wheel role.
  5. Configure your simulator. Still in System Settings, open the tab for each simulator you fly and switch it on; TelemFFB sets up whatever that game needs on its own.
    • DCS, IL-2 or Falcon BMS: turn on the DirectInput Tap on that same tab. Those games take exclusive control of the device, and the Tap is how TelemFFB's effects reach it. How the Tap works
    • MSFS or X-Plane: nothing more to install. In MSFS, unbind the axes TelemFFB drives - trim and autopilot following depend on it - the manual explains why. X-Plane handles that itself.

The installation guide has the details.
